The Municipal market open 6 days a week is a super place to discover the wonderful produce from local suppliers. The freshest fruit and vegetables, tasty honey, carob liqueur, medronho brandy and delicious sausages, refined in local smokehouses, and an array of true temptations including the local traditional sweets where figs, almonds and carob make up the key ingredients. Explore the fresh fish counters where the super selection on offer comes up from the coast daily. On the last Saturday of each month, the market showcases the special participation of local chefs who present authentic dishes and fill the market with delicious aromas.
